AMMAN \u2014 The Arab Renewable Energy Commission (AREC) and a Polish delegation discussed renewable energy cooperation in areas such as smart cities, smart grid technologies and electric cars.<\/p>\n

At a meeting between AREC Secretary General Muhammad Al Taani and Polish Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pawel Jablonski, the two sides worked to set a roadmap towards practical and scientific improvements, notably enhancing ooperation between Poland and Jordan\u2019s renewable energy companies.<\/p>\n

According to an AREC statement, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Thursday, Taani said that the two sides agreed to hold a renewable energy conference in April of next year.<\/p>\n

The conference will be hosted by Poland and attended by representatives from several Arab countries.<\/p>\n

It was also agreed to launch joint heating and cooling projects using solar energy, as well as other projects related to storing energy in the Kingdom, he added.<\/p>\n

Head of the Poland delegation lauded the Kingdom\u2019s \u201ckey\u201d regional role in sustainable development, a green economy, environmental protection and climate change reduction.<\/p>\n
